The Geoscience Museum of Mashhad (GMM) hosted an event of science and art linkage which attended by forty-three prominent artists.
In this event, forty painters and three prominent calligraphers were present. Ali Akbar Esmaili Quchani, known as the Haft Qalam calligrapher, and Hossein Talebi, the founder of the Qadir Summit, were present at this event. The museum visitors were given the opportunity to have a close relationship with the artists and observe them while they were painting. Parvaresh, the head of GMM, emphasized the goals of organizing this event. She stated that the GMM serves as a scientific museum, effectively showcasing and conveying scientific principles related to earth sciences. However, she noted that the advancement and effective representation of these principles can only be achieved through artistic expression. Art, as a universal language among humanity, is now intertwined with science through mediums such as painting and calligraphy. She pointed out that this program was one of the planned programs to commemorate the World Museum Day and the presence of prominent artists in the museum is a great opportunity to benefit from their valuable opinions in the upcoming development programs in the museum. Parvaresh said that honoring artists in today's modern world is an important issue that can prevent the dimming of the valuable bonds of man with himself and others and be effective in softening the spirit and creating vitality in the society.
The presence of artists with their canvases, each engaged in the creation of various collections and samples for the museum, generated an unparalleled excitement within the venue. Notably, the attendance of individuals at this event, along with their enthusiasm and fortunate opportunities to interact with the artists, constituted a significant aspect of the ceremony.
