The structure of building stones was launched by installing and presenting stones from Iran and the world in geoscience museum of Mashhad.
According to the public relations report of the Geological Survey of Iran (North East Territory) (GSINET), this collection currently has the ability to display more than 240 pieces of building stones, and this number can be increased.
According to Farrokh Qaemi, the honorable director of GSINET, this collection started from a small idea and with the support of the respected officials of the geological survey of Iran, it became a collection worthy of attention and valuable to introduce the building stone industry. Mahboobe Parvaresh, the head of geoscience museum of Mashhad, mentioned the purpose of creating this collection to familiarize the general public with the variety and extent of the use of stones in daily life, as well as the scientific introduction of building stones along with the use of their brand name. The supply of stones installed in this complex has been done with the cooperation of companies active in the field of stone industries from various provinces and cities of Iran such as Mashhad, Tehran, Isfahan, Mahalat, Yazd, Tabas, Kerman, Tabriz, Urmia, Borujerd and Khorramabad.
