Geoscience Museum of Mashhad (GMM) is the largest specialized geoscience museum in Iran. It is characterized by two practical goals including presenting and promoting the knowledge of earth sciences in the society and documenting geological and mineral findings as a targeted and systematic database for the exploitation of science researchers. GMM started working on 2-18.

The mission of the GMM, based on the centrality of its sturtup goals is the efforts to developing and enriching the collections, as well as creating a center for researchers and scholars to refer to. Geoscience museum of Mashhad is managed under supervision of Geological Survey of Iran (North East Territory) (GSINET). This museum runs in an area of approximately 10000 square meters with 2200 m2 of infrastructure and the central museum building including the underground tunnel. There is also a professional main storage with an area of 1000 m2 and three park in the outdoor areas (8000 m2).
